Four killed, 8 injured as twin blasts hit Jaffer Express in Machh

QUETTA: Four passengers were killed and 16 others injured when two bombs apparently planted in a bogie of Rawalpindi-bound Jaffer Express went off in Machh District of Balochistan.

The train was going to Rawalpindi from Quetta when twin blats hit Bogie No-3, killing four passengers and injuring eight others. The blast severely damaged the bogie.

Soon after the blast, police and other law enforcement agencies personnel rushed to the site of the blast and cordoned off the area. Bomb Disposal Squad was also called in.

Rescue workers shifted the wounded passengers to nearby hospitals including Civil Hospital Quetta.
