Three Pakistani Soldiers Martyred In ‘unprovoked’ Indian Firing Across LoC: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Three Pakistan Army personnel were martyred and one soldier was injured due to unprovoked firing by Indian forces along the Line of Control (LoC) on Tuesday, ISPR reported.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the cross-border shelling occurred at Rukh Chakri and Balakot sector.

“Three soldiers Subedar Muhammad Riaz, Havaldar Azizullah and Sepoy Shahid embraced at Rukh Chakri and Balakot sector,” said ISPR in a statement.

“Pakistani forces responded to Indian firing befittingly and there are reports of casualties of the Indian soldiers,” it concluded.

It must be noted that tensions between both countries have been running high in the wake of a February, 14 Pulwama attack, which killed more than 40 paramilitary troops.
