Three Terrorists killed in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh (July 22, 2017): Three terrorists have been killed in a shootout with security forces in Sihat district of Qatif governorate, the Interior Ministry said on Friday.

Major General Mansour Al-Turki, security spokesman at the Interior Ministry, said that on July 15, security personnel monitored three of the wanted terrorists in Al-Zhoor neighborhood in Sihat. They were driving a stolen Toyota Corolla with non-matching number plates.

Security personnel besieged them and directed to surrender but the suspects opened fire on the security forces and were killed in retaliatory fire.

The police recovered three machine guns, a pistol, ammunition and more than 10 kilograms of explosives material from their possession.

Al-Turki said the men were wanted for their involvement in deadly attacks against the police, as well as an attack on a vehicle used to transport cash, abductions and weapons trafficking.

Al-Turki said the dead terrorists were identified as Jaffar bin Hassan Makki Al-Mberik, a Saudi who was placed on the wanted list on Oct. 31, 2016, Hassan bin Mahmoud Ali Abu Abdullah, a Bahraini who was also placed on the wanted list on Oct. 31, 2016 and Sadeq Abdullah Mahdi Al-Darweesh, a Saudi.
