Landi Kotal: Following Friday’s twin blasts in Landi Kotal near the Pak-Afghan border, the Pakistan-Afghanistan border crossing at Torkham remained closed for the second day today.
On Friday twin blasts hit the border area wherein six security personnel were injured. Following the blast, security was beefed up in the border area and Torkhan border crossing was closed for all kind of cross border movement.

The incident came a day after Pakistan and Afghanistan held meetings at the Ministry of Defence in Kabul.
Today a flag meeting between the officials of Pak-Afghan is scheduled to deescalate the tension. The officials will discuss over the law and order situation and yesterday’s twin blasts near the border.As the border crossing has been closed, no one is allowed to move either side of the borders
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations on Thursday, the six-member Pakistan military delegation, headed by DGMO Major General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, held a bilateral meeting where important issues such as cross-border fire and attacks, counter terrorism, coordinated actions on the respective sides along the border and exchange of detainees were discussed.
