Islamabad (June 23, 2018): The Appellate Tribunals will decide the filing appeals against acceptance or rejection of nomination papers by Returning Officers for the National and provincial assemblies’ seats by Wednesday.
The revised list of candidates will be published the following day.
The candidates can withdraw their nomination papers by 29th June. The ECP will allot election symbols to the candidates on 30th June.
Earlier, six tribunals were established in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, eight in Punjab, four in Sindh, two in Balochistan and one in Islamabad.The appeals will be decided by appellate tribunals by June 27, while the revised list of candidates will be published by June 28.
According to Election Commission, a total of 21,482 nomination papers have been filed across the country for national and provincial assemblies.
As many as 6063 candidates are contesting for 342 seats of the National Assembly while 15419 nomination papers have been filed for the provincial assemblies seats.
