Trump Refuses To Sign Iran Nuclear Deal

Washington (October 13, 2017): US President Donald Trump on Friday has condemned Iran as a fanatical regime and refused to continue certifying an international nuclear deal.

He refused to certify the Iran nuclear deal as he unveiled a new, tougher strategy on the Tehran regime, in a blow to Theresa May and world leaders who urged him to back the agreement. He said he was referring the deal to Congress and would consult allies on how to alter it.

Trump accused Iran of sponsoring terrorism and said he would deny the regime all paths to a nuclear weapon.

The US President wants Iran to be bound by tighter restrictions to avoid economic sanctions and will urge Congress to make such changes.

However the move falls short of the total scrapping of agreement that something Mr Trump promised during the election campaign last year.
