Trump Thanks Kim For Not Displaying Nukes At Parade

Washington(September 10, 2018): President Trump gave North Korean leader Kim Jong Un a shoutout on Sunday for keeping long-range nuclear missiles out of a military parade marking the country’s 70th anniversary, saying it’s a “positive statement.”

“North Korea has just staged their parade, celebrating the 70th anniversary of founding, without the customary display of nuclear missiles. The theme was peace and economic development,” Trump wrote on his Twitter feed.

“This is a big and very positive statement from North Korea. Thank you To Chairman Kim. We will both prove everyone wrong! There is nothing like good dialogue from two people that like each other! Much better than before I took office,” the president said.

The military parade staged earlier Sunday in the capital Pyongyang featured rows of tanks and goose-stepping troops, according to news reports, but was focused on a message of economic development and peace – unlike previous years.
