TTP Commander Killed In Encounter In Bannu

Bannu (August 06, 2018): Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan’s regional vice commander Naseebur Rehman was allegedly killed in an exchange of fire with security forces on Monday in Jani Khel area of Bannu.

According to security forces sources, the terrorist Naseeb-ur-Rehman opened fire on the security forces during a routine patrol, security sources said.

The forces responded with retaliatory fire and shot him dead, the sources added.

Intelligence sources confirmed that a clash between security forces and the militants took place at Unit 58 BR Jani Khel, Bannu.

Rehman, son of Akbar Khan was Taliban Commander Sadar Hayat’s right hand, intelligence sources added.

Further investigations regarding the incident are underway.

Earlier in June this year, TTP chief Mullah Fazlullah was also killed in a US drone strike.

Fazlullah was reportedly travelling in a vehicle along with four other commanders when he was targeted by a remotely-piloted US aircraft at 11pm on June 13 in Afghanistan’s Kunar province.
