Tumult During Fahmida Speech Mars NA Session

ISLAMABAD: The National assembly session once again witnesses ruckus and loud noises during the federal minister Fahmida Mirza speech as PPP members surrounded the speaker’s dice.  

The NA session resumed on Monday with the chair of speaker Asad Qaisar.

During the session, Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) member Fahimda Mirza got enraged over PPP member Munawar Talpur remarks and said she knew the secret of everyone as each knew who had attacked the Sindh assembly when the direction was given from Faryyal Talpur home to attack Sindh assembly.

On her remarks, PPP members stood from their seats and surrounded the speaker’s dice, however despite the speaker’s call for sit to Fahmida she continues to talk and hurled serious allegations on PPP members.

Khawaja Asif mentioned to Speaker that he should not make biased conduct and should issue production orders of Khawaja Saad Rafique like PTI member Aleem Khan.

On which, the speaker said in his remarks, “Be patient, you will not be disappointed.”

Naveed Qamar highlighted the issue of speaker Sindh assembly arrest and said the misconduct met by Siraj Durrani angered the all parliamentarians as it showed that there was no meaning of democracy.

Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda has assured the National Assembly that Pakistan’s share of water under Indus Water Treaty is secure and safe.

Taking floor, he said under Indus water treaty, India has the right over eastern rivers and it does not affect Pakistan if New Delhi stops their water.

Talking about Mohmand Dam, the Minister of State said that 18 billion rupees have been saved in negotiating with the bidder.

He said out of these, 16 billion rupees will be used in the construction of Naulong dam in Balochistan.

The House has now been adjourned to meet again tomorrow at 11 in the morning.
