RAWALPINDI: Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Turkey General (Retired) Hulusi Akar on Friday called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that the matters of mutual interest, regional security and measures to further enhance bilateral defense collaboration were discussed in the meeting.
COAS said that Pakistan values its unique relationship with Turkey and would always stand by our brothers.
The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan’s contributions for conflict prevention in the region and for standing by Turkey & pledged the same for Pakistan.
The Turkish national defence minister is part of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s delegation, who is on a two-day official visit to Pakistan, which officials believe holds great significance against the backdrop of recent regional and international developments.
