ANKARA: The overnight session of Turkish parliament approved key articles of constitutional reforms enabling the president to retain ties with a political party, executive powers as head of state and authority to issue decrees.
The ruling AK Party get approved the amendments from the parliament in collaboration with the nationalist MHP party.
While opposition parties lashed out at the amendments and termed it tantamount to promote dictatorship in the country.
