Twin blasts claim 16 lives in Afghanistan

KABUL: At least 16 people were killed and over 100 injured in twin blast in Afghan capital, Kabul.

According to the Afghan media, Police Headquarter was targeted in the first bomb attack in Kabul that left at least 15 people dead. A shootout was also conducted between the forces and the attackers after the bomb attack at the police complex.

While the second bomb was detonated in Arzan Qeemat, area of Kabul. Afghan Interior Ministry Spokesperson Najib Danesh said that 15 people including 11 civilians were killed in the attack and in a separate one minutes later at an office of Afghanistan’s main intelligence agency, the National Directorate for Security (NDS), to the East of Kabul.

While a senior army official said that twp terrorists entered a building. One blew himself up and second was shot by Afghan security forces.
