Rawalpindi (January 27, 2018): Two European mountain climbers, attempting to summit the peak, have reportedly struck on Nanga Parbat which is widely known as “Killer Mountain”.
Army operation to rescue the European climbers is underway. A Polish man Tomek Mackiewicz and a French woman Elisabeth Revol were attempting to ascend Nanga Parbat when they got stuck at 7,400m (24,280ft).As per details, four members of a team of Polish climbers, attempting the first winter summit of nearby K2, will be brought to Nanga Parbat by Pakistan Army helicopter to assist in the rescue operation for the climbers are in trouble on a Himalayan peak.
Mackiewicz is reportedly in critical condition with snow blindness and altitude sickness.
