Two foreigners arrested in police combing operation in Baldia Town

KARACHI/ PINDI BHATTIAN: Two foreigners were arrested as police conducted a combing operation in Baldia Town area of Karachi.

According to SP Baldia, the combing operation was conducted under National Action Plan (NAP). He said that during the action biometric device was used to ascertain the identities of suspects.

He said that during the operation eight Afghans nationals were detained. He added that two of them were formally arrested for lack of relevant documents.

Police accompanied by intelligence agencies personel also carried out combing operation in Pindi Bhattian area in Hafizabad district of Punjab.

During the operation, some 78 suspected people were detained. Out of them 51 were later released after confirmations of their identities.

Among those detained are absconders, accused involved in heinous crimes, and people having illegal arms.  Arms were recovered from the possession of the arrested accused.
