Two More Die of Dengue in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: Two more dengue patients died here at the Allied Hospital on Sunday, taking the death toll of people dying from the deadly disease to 35 in the city.

The victims were identified as 50-year-old Shabbir, a resident of Siddique Chawk, and two-year-old boy Sajid, a resident of Misiryal Road.

Meanwhile, 160 more people reportedly tested positive for dengue in Rawalpindi in the past 24 hours due to which the total number of people affected by the virus has climbed to 6,638 in the city.

According to data issued by the Dengue control programme, 225 people tested dengue positive in Punjab during the past 24 hours.

On the other hand, the number of dengue patients has reached 4,363 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 38 new cases emerging in the province.
