United States Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter has said that agreement is being reached over defense cooperation between the U.S. and India under which the armed forces of the two countries could use each other’s arms and bases.
Ashton Carter, who is on India visit, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his counterpart in New Delhi. Speaking at Indian Defense Ministry he said that America wants to pull Pakistan out of terrorism and that cooperation with Pakistan is to cleanse it with terrorists. America has supplied Pakistan F16 fighters to tackle terrorism, he added.
The U.S. and India could use each other’s land, sea and air bases for re-supply, repairs and rest.
