RAWALPINDI: National Security Adviser of United Kingdom Sir Mark Lyall Grant called on Army Chief General Raheel Sharif in Rawalpindi on Monday.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest came under discussion. Grant said that Pakistan achieved significant successes in their fight against terrorism. He also acknowledged Pakistan’s continued efforts for regional peace and stability.
Earlier, the UK NSA called on Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, his Pakistani counterpart Lt. General (Retd) Nasir Khan Janjua and Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif separately and discussed with them issues of mutual interests.
During his meeting with NSA Nasir Janjua, Grant acknowledged Pakistan’s sacrifices rendered in the ongoing war on terror. Janjua said that Pakistan was a great country of future and it must not be viewed with the prism of terrorism.
