ISLAMABAD: United Kingdom Police, which is currently in Islamabad, has asked for the records of filed FIR against Muttahida Qaumi Movement Founder Altaf Hussain and the video recording of his inflammatory speech.
The UK police arrived in Islamabad on Saturday to record statements of eye-witnesses in inflammatory speech case of founder MQM Altaf Hussain.
These witnesses include six police officials.
The UK police will determine whether MQM founder’s speech of August 22, 2018 comes in the domain of inflammatory and hate-speech after interviewing case witnesses on April 08 (Monday).
On the other hand, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has written a letter to IG Sindh, ensuring the availability of witnesses.
It may be pertinent to mention that UK police came to Pakistan on the interior ministry’s request.
On 22nd August 2018, MQM Founder delivered an ‘anti-Pakistan speech’ during his address at Karachi Press Club.
Numerous party workers stormed media houses and created chaos, driven by the founder’s ‘hate-speech’.
Later, several cases were launched against the party founder Altaf Hussain.
