NEW YORK: United Nations General Assembly on Friday passed a resolution to end siege of Aleppo and ceasefire in Syria.
According to the details, UN General Assembly’s 122 members casted votes in favour of the resolution,13 against and 36 abstained from voting.
It is pertinent to mention here that Canada had tabled the resolution in the UN General Assembly urging cease fire in Syria.
The resolution demands immediate ceasefire in Syria and end of siege of Aleppo. The resolution also demanded provision of food and medicines to the war-torn areas in Syria.
