Nawabshah: Chief of Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F) Maulana Fazal Ur Rehman has said that unannouced martial law is imposed in the country adding that efforts are being made for constitutional and democratic rule.
Talking to media in Nawabshah, Maulana Fazal Ur Rehman said that an FIR has been registered against capt (retd) Safdar after IG and additional IG being made hostages.
The JUI-F chief said that there is no need of an inquiry into the arrest adding that there should be an action over the mistreatment with the IG Sindh and police.
He said that in a manner capt (retd) Safdar was arrested is regrettable adding that a situation turned out of control when an institutions crossed its limits.
Fazal Ur Rehman said that all the provinces have powers over the resources of the provinces adding that all the islands exist in Sindh or Baluchistan are the properties of the provinces.
He said that he didn’t want to hit institutions and personalities while he urged that institutions and administration should do their work.
Talking about the opposition strategy against the government, he said that the opposition has an option of resigning from the parliament.
He said that their efforts for an unannounced martial law will continue.
