KARACHI: After the departure of former Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad to Duabi, senior leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui also dashed to Dubai where he held an important meeting with former president General Pervez Musharraf.
It is to be mentioned here that former President General Pervez Musharraf is in Dubai, where senior MQM-P chief Dr Farooq Sattar and MQM-P’s parliamentary leader in Sindh Assembly Khwaja Izharul Hassan had already met him a few days ago.
Sources said that Siddiqui had an important meeting with the former military ruler and held consultation on some important political issues. They said that major changes in the MQM-P hierarchy was expected in coming days.
It is to be mentioned here that there were reports about reported efforts to unite different factions of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) under the former military ruler General Pervez Musharraf. Though the MQM leaders had denied any such move, but the fresh meetings and Governor Sindh presence in the Dubai had lend some credence to the reports and raised many eyebrows.
