LAHORE: Former Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique has said that the echoing talks in the political arena regarding the imposition of Presidential system across the state is a cause of ignominy and utter disgrace for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led Government.
While talking to media after appearing before an Accountability Court of Lahore, Khawaja Saad lashed out at the current government and made it a target of his sheer criticism.
He said that the PTI’s government may topple on its own while attempting to sweep away the opposition parties.
“Government is talking rubbish regarding Presidential System. It will be hard to create a new constitution if any amendment is made in 1973’s constitution”, Khawaja Saad affirmed.
Referring to Prime Minister Imran Khan, the former Railways Minister should shift its focus from opposition to it’s designated work as it is the responsibility of courts to hold people accountable.
“Unemployment and inflation are wreaking havoc on public. There’s still time for Imran Khan to end the issues of people instead of taking unnecessary measures”, Saad Rafique concluded.
