ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of the United States of America to Pakistan Donald Balom have met to Prime Minister Shahbaz Shareef in Islamabad to foster stronger ties and deepen cooperation between the two nation.

This development comes as the US envoy called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s office, delving into various facets of mutual interest.

PM Shehbaz during huddle expressed contentment over the current state of bilateral relations, highlighting the imperative need to sustain this positive trajectory.

Stressing the vitality of regular convening of existing dialogue mechanisms, discussions were focused on pivotal areas encompassing trade, investment, energy, health, defense, education, agriculture, and climate change.

Furthermore, the premier underscored his government’s commitment to institute macroeconomic reforms aimed at stabilizing the economy and attracting foreign investment.

Of notable mention was the role of the recently established Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), geared towards expediting foreign investments in priority sectors within Pakistan.

 Discussions encompassed the prevailing situation in Gaza and the Red Sea, ongoing developments in Afghanistan, and the case of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, was also advocated by the premier.
