OSAKA: United States President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping have mutually agreed to cease-fire the bilateral trade war.
The decision of averting at least “for now” an escalation in tensions as feared by financial markets, businesses and farmers came during meeting the US and China’s President held during the ongoing G20 Summit.
During the meeting, Trump said: “We’re going to work with China where we left off”.
While Trump said relations with China were “right back on track,” doubts persist about the two nations’ willingness to compromise on a long-term solution.
