US Demands IMF To Ensure ‘Genuine Reforms’ In Pakistan

WASHINGTON: United States of America has demanded International Monetary Fund (IMF) to impose genuine reforms in Pakistan in exchange of the recent agreement of providing a loan of US$6 billion to the country, AbbTakk News reported on Friday.

Alice Wells, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asia, has affirmed that there has been no military aid reserved for Pakistan in United States’ budget for 2020.

In her recent statement, she has expressed reservations on Pakistan nuclear activities.

Reiterating United States’ claim of existence of alleged terrorist groups within Pakistan, Alice Wells demanded Pakistan to act more strongly for their elimination.
