PESHAWAR: United States drone strike has killed at least seven militants, including Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Commander Akhtar Muhammad on Wednesday in North Waziristan.
According to the details, a US drone targeted a house and a vehicle in Datta Khel, area of North Waziristan. Local sources said that TTP Commander Akhtar Muhammad along with his six accomplices were killed in the drone strike.
It was the second US drone attack in Pakistan under the Trump administration. A security officials said on the condition of anonymity, “We have received reports of a drone attack in North Waziristan in which some seven militants have been killed.”
The drone fired two missile in Datta Khel. One missile hit a house in the area, believed to be used by the Taliban militants. Whereas the second missile destroyed a vehicle.
The previous US strike under the Trump government killed two men riding a motorbike in northwestern Kurram in March.
