WASHINGTON: With presidential elections only hours ago the Americans will wake up to hit the polls this evening Pakistan time
As the presidential campaigns neared end Monday the Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump called his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton a “phony” who lashed back accusing him of splitting the country.
Most immediate pre-election polls favoring Clinton pointed to a strong chance of her winning one of the most muck-raking presidential campaigns ever.
Clinton and Trump raced through several battleground states in a last-ditch attempt to encourage their supporters to turn up at polling stations.
Clinton sought to capture more support from Latinos, African-Americans and young people. In contrast, Trump tried to rev up the disaffected middle class what he said has been sidelined by the US political establishment.
