WASHINGTON: United States Justice Department on Saturday appealed against the ruling that halted President Donald Trump’s travel ban on the people of certain Muslim countries.
The US government lodged the appeal in the Seattle court. The plea seeks reversal of Friday ruling by a federal judge. Earlier, Donald Trump had termed the judge’s ruling as ridiculous and vowed to restore the travel ban. Trump had imposed a 90-day travel ban on the people of Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.
