US offers support to Turkey in fight against terrorism

WASHINGTON (May 17, 2017): Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday visited the United States and called on President Donald Trump at the White House.

Donald Trump praised praised Turkey’s efforts in the war against ISIS and for its fight against internal terrorist attacks. He stressed that the US would offer their support to Turkey in its fight against terrorism. Trump said that they would “reinvigorate our trade and commercial ties.”

“These are areas where we can rebuild our relationship,” Trump said and “We’ve had a great relationship and we will make it even better.” Trump said in the Oval Office, “We look forward to having very strong and solid discussions.”

Whereas Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in the joint press conference along with US President Donald Trump that they wanted to boost defense and economic ties with the US. He said Turk-US relations were based on bilateral respect. Erdogan demanded indiscriminate action against terrorists. The Turkish president said that no one will be allowed to create chaos in Syria, Yemen, Iraq and other countries.
