US: Thousands of airport workers protest for new contract

NEW YORK: Thousands of airport workers of Chicago, Boston, New York city, Newark, Philadelphia and Fort Lordradal airports have announced to go on strike for the acquisition of new contracts.

According to US media, contract employees were also protesting for the increment in their salaries. The workers said that they will continue their strike until the acquisition of their rights. Airport administration has said that negotiations with the employees were under way. According to administration employees were being requested to continue their jobs, while their demands were also being reviewed.
