Uzbekistan’s Delegation Visits ICCI

Islamabad (December 22, 2017): A delegation of Uzbekistan, led by Institute for strategic and regional studies Director Vladimir Norov visited Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) on Thursday.

Uzbekistan ambassador to Pakistan Furkat Siddikov was also accompanied by the delegation. Institute for strategic and regional studies Director Vladimir Norov stressed the need to boost bilateral trade. He was of the view that Pakistan- Uzbekistan trade volume is only $24,000,000, which is very low.

He said Pakistan and  Uzbekistan should take measures on priority bases to increase the bilateral trade. Norov said both countries could cooperate in the fields of agriculture, power, automobiles, pharmaceutical, chemicals and others.

Norov told the traders that  Uzbekistan has established seven free economic zones and offered attractive schemes to investors. He urged the businessmen to invest in Uzbekistan.
