LAHORE: A day after 59 people were killed in a deadly terrorist attack, the flag-lowering ceremony was held at the Wagah Border parade ground and a large number of citizens witnessed the flag-lowering ceremony on Monday.
According to a Rangers spokesman, flag-lowering ceremony was held as per schedule and large number of citizens witnessed the ceremony.
The spokesman said that decision to open Wagah border for citizens was taken to boost the morale of the nation after the deadly bombing.
According to reports, citizens have reached the parade venue in large numbers along with their children and families to witness the ceremony.
General Naveed Zaman and DG Rangers also reached the venue to witness the ceremony.
Both the officials reviewed the security arrangements.
