Islamabad (March 08, 2018): The former Head of the JIT probing Panama Papers against Sharif Family Wajid Zia on Thursday appeared before the apex court to testify in Avenfield Reference Against Sharif family.
According to details, Wajid Zia is the last witness in the Avenfield case against Sharif family heard by accountability court-1 Judge Muhammad Bashir. Soon after the testimony, the counsel of Maryam Nawaz and Capt retd Safdar- Amjad Pervez- would argue Zia over his statement.
The counsel of Nawaz Sharif, Khuwaja Haris would argue with Zia on March 13. Wajid Zia brought the proofs in the case in three large boxes and a brief case.
The Accountability Court on Thursday allowed the former Prime Minister and Lifetime Quaid of PML-N Nawaz Sharif and his daughter to skip the proceedings of the court while asked the son-in-law Capt retd Safdar to remain present in the proceedings.
Nawaz on Thursday arrived at the accountability court along with his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Capt Retd Safdar.
Wajid Zia who had to testify in the case earlier went to the apex court to collect the required documents due to which the court adjourned the hearing till 10:00am.
