Warner, Khwaja give Australia smooth start in 4th ODI against Pakistan

SYDNEY: The opening pair of David Warner and Usman Khwaja gave a dream stat to Australia in the 4th One-Day International (ODI) match against Pakistan.

Warner scored a quick fifty to give a smooth start in the fourth ODI against Pakistan at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday. Australian Captain Steve Smith won the toss and decided to bat first.

Mitchell Starc and leg-spinner Adam Zampa returned to Australian side, with all-rounder James Faulkner and bowler Billy Stanlake rested.

Asad Shafiq was dropped to make way for skipper Azhar Ali, who missed the second and third ODI due to injury.

Australia lead the five-match series 2-1, meaning Pakistan must avoid defeat today to stay alive in the series.  Warner is unbeaten at 60 while Usman Khwaja has scored 29 as Australia has scored 90 runs in 16 overs.
