KARACHI: Mayor of Karachi, Waseem Akhtar has said that he has given last warning to the federal government over not taking concrete steps for implementation on the Karachi package.
Addressing a presser along with districts chairmen of the city, Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar said that if implementation on the Karachi package no followed seriously than he will decide the strategy in consultation in the next few days.
He said that “the city government is not receiving its due funds which turned the running affairs of the district institutions difficult day by day.
Waseem Akhtar said that the Sindh government is totally incompetent adding that that the PPP has no interest in affairs of Karachi and Hyderabad.
The mayor said that the projects allocated for the provincial budget are not the problems of the city.
Wassem Akhtar demanded the Supreme Court of Pakistan to take sou motu notice over shares of Karachi in the provincial budget while he added that water, sewerage, and Public transport are the issues of the Karachi on which nobody wanted to address it.
