Water aggression: Modi orders to build dams on Pakistani rivers  

NEW DELHI: After border aggression, India moves on water aggression as Prime Minister Narendra Modi ordered to build dams on the rivers flowing into Pakistan.    

According to the details, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi directed to build canals, dams and hydro power projects on River Indus, Chenab and Jhelum.

While expert said that China will block water to India, if Modi implement on the nefarious plan. British media said that Indian experts started work on the project after the current directions.

On the condition of anonymity, Indian officials said that Modi directed the expert to use maximum water of the rivers flowing to Pakistan.2

The officials were of the view that Modi did not want to withdraw from Sindh Tas agreement but he wanted to utilize its 20 percent share.3

On the other hand experts warned India that it will have to pay heavy cost for the water aggression against Pakistan as China may turn India into desert, if India block water to Pakistan.

Modi directed to restart work on Tulbul Navigation Project on Jhelum river. Earlier, India had started the project in 1927 but it was closed after Pakistan objected on the project.4

It is pertinent to mention here that according to the Sindh Tas agreement, Pakistan was entitled to use 80 percent waters of Indus, Chenab and Jhelum. While India was allowed to use the waters of Ravi, Sutlej and Beas.
