Water Crisis Intensifies For Residents Of Karachi

Karachi (June 26, 2018): After the decrease of water level in Hub Dam, which is the main source of supplying water in Karachi, water crisis has started to intensify in the West and Central parts of the city. Due to lack of water in Hub Dam, residents of Karachi suffers intense water crisis.On the other hand, water supply has been restricted to Karachi from Hub Dam. Now the dam will be provide water only three to four days a week, due to which people are forced to buy water from the tanker mafia in expensive prices.Water board has claimed that arrangements are made to ensure alternative water supply to the city, water will be provided from K-3 to the affected areas of the city, but Karachiites are not really optimistic by the claims of water board.

Water level has reached to dead level in Hub Dam, which provides water various areas of Karachi.

According to details, there are more problems waiting for residents of Karachi because city will face increased water crisis. The water level in Hub Dam has decreased to 276 feet, due to which the city will be provided water for one day, and later the supply of water to city from Hub Dam will stop.

Water board has not prepared any alternative plans to restore water neither has projected machines to drive water from the Hub Dam. If this continues, there is a possibility of water shortage in multiple areas of Karachi including Orangi Town, Baldia Town, Surjani Town, North Karachi North Nazimabad.
