ISLAMABAD: Minister for State for Revenue Hammad Azhar has said that the previous PML-N league government had not faced existing deficits.
Addressing a presser in Islamabad Minister for State for Revenue Hammad Azhar said that the government was facing the worst conditions of the past governments while there is no difference between Zardari, Hamza Shahbaz and Omni case.
State Minister for revenue categorically said that no NRO will be given to people who are creating noise adding that loans in the incumbent government not increased half in size even with comparison to previous governments.
Hammad Azhar said that those who made the economy in worst conditions were criticizing the government while he admitted that the economy slowed down but it was the result of failed economic policies of the previous governments.
He said that experts highlighted that former finance minister Ishaq Dar provided wrong facts and figures on the economy while loans did not increase half in size with the comparison of the previous government.
The State Minister on revenue also admitted that inflation went up in the country in recent days while he said that inflation rate was more than 10 percent in first 10 month of the previous PML-N government .adding that the government will break the circular debt at 250 billion rupees.
Hammad said that rupee devalued by 8.2 percent while rupee value at its actual position adding that no any NRO will be given to opposition parties besides their undue protest against the government.
He said that Faisal Vowda expressed firm hope adding that a period of one and half year will consume leaving the worst time and nation has to bear difficulties.
On the occasion, Federal Minister for Health Amir Kiyani said that the government action against the hike in drug prices is continued.
The Health Minister said that the government did not have any problem regarding drug prices we can further lower drug prices adding that the prices of drugs will bring to earlier prices which were hike illegally while the government will also further decrease the drug prices.
