ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday has warned the land mafia of severe legal action against them.
Addressing a ceremony in Lahore PM said, “Pakistan is short of 100 million homes and we will build 50 million in our five years tenure.”
“We want to reduce the miseries of the underprivileged,” he added.
“The government is working on the housing project which will be initiated by April,” he further said.
“Rich people enjoy the fruits of life which are inaccessible to underprivileged people. Poor people do not even have any roof over their heads,” he added.
“Land mafia has illegally occupied the precious lands of the federal capital,” he said.
“The government has vacated a land of worth Rs 50 billion from the possession of land grabbers,” added Imran.
“The federal government will not allow any land grabber to roam freely, we will put them behind the bars,” he further added.
“The government is looking forward to allowing the construction of high rise buildings and civil aviation is agreed upon it,” the PM concluded.
