Islamabad (July 3, 2017): Special Assistant to Prime Minister and PML-N leader Asif Kirmani has said that the joint investigation team currently probing Sharif family offshore holdings has taken a U-turn.
Talking to newsmen outside the Federal Judicial Academy (FJA), Kirmani said that the JIT had failed to achieve the purpose for which it was constituted.

He added that if the JIT did not record Qatari prince statement they would not accept, what he said, unilateral show.
Kirmani said that for investigation of London flats’ money trail, the statement of Qatri prince was important not the Hudaibia Papers Mill.
He added that the Qatari prince had expressed his wiliness to record statement before the JIT in Qatar and submit other evidences. He added that without recording his statement, the JIT report will be incomplete and PML-N would have serious reservations.
He added that the documents required by the JIT had already been submitted in the Supreme Court after verification, but despite that the JIT hired a London-based firm for verification of the documents.
He added that the services of the firm was hired against hefty amount, saying that the JIT can obtain the documents from SC.
He accused the JIT of incurring uncalled for expenses from the taxpayers money.
Kirmani also came down hard on PTI chief Imran Khan saying that they would not allow Imran to make China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) hostage.
He added that they had seen Imran call to protest during lawyers movement, saying that when PML-N will give call for protest the PTI chief will fled by abandoning his shoes.
