World Bank, Govt sign agreement worth of 500 million dollar

The government of Pakistan and World Bank has agreed on agreement worth of 500 million dollar, while Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that the government has done impressive work in reforms in field of economics.

World Bank and the government of Pakistan have signed on the agreement involving 500 million dollar for competition and development.

Secretary economic affairs division Tariq Bajwa and the World Bank acting country director Anthony Cholst signed the agreement and the Finance Minister Ishaq Dar was present on the occasion.

The finance minister Ishaq Dar said that the government had started economic reforms and it has achieved overwhelming success.

The minister said that the amount the government will get from the World Bank will bring improvement in business environment and it will add financial discipline while payment of taxes will be made simple and easy and hurdles in insurance sector will be removed.

He said that the reforms will flourish competition while it also will help to make business easy. Speaking on the occasion acting country director of World Bank said that the government‘s economic team deserved appreciation for keeping reforms procedure speed continue.

The World Bank acting country director further said that the reforms will help to bring improvement in tax collection and business environment.
