Web Desk (October 16, 2018): Today, International World food day is being celebrated all over the world, including Pakistan.
The purpose of celebrating this day is aware masses to take care of underprivileged people.
World food international day celebration started in 1989, the basic reason to celebrate this day, was to increase the production of foods.
According to global hunger index, more than 800 million persons have deprived of two times meals a day at this time, while 22 countries have faced extreme food crisis including 16 countries, who had faced this problem due to natural disasters.
Hunger ratio rose in Asian countries more than any region, In which Pakistan stood at no 14 and out of 220 millions of population, more than 50 million population have deprived of basic food necessities.
On the other hand, United Nations Organization (UNO) for Food and Agriculture reports said, if we are avoiding wastage of foods and increased our farming in limited resources, then at 2030, We should achieve the goals to reduce malnutrition problems in all over the world.
