Born in Swabi on May 2, 1986 Shah did debut for Pakistan against Australia in 2014. Last year Leg-spinner Yasir Shah on became the fastest cricketer to take 200 Test wickets, breaking an 82-year-old record on the fourth day of the third Test against New Zealand.
Yasir was also the fastest Pakistani to 50 wickets (nine Tests), reached 100 wickets in 17 Tests — second only to Englishman George Lohmann.
Yasir Shah is a specialist leg-break bowler. He is known for his leg spinners, flippers and googlies. He was mentioned by Shane Warne as one of the best spinners in modern cricket.
Yasir Shah also got Sitara-i-Imtiaz on March 23, in acknowledgment of his extraordinary performance in the field of cricket.
