Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir: Resistance Rally Held Against Indian Illegal Action In IOK

Islamabad: Youm-e-Istehsal was observed across the country against Indian unconstitutional move of August 5 last year in Occupied Kashmir. 

In this connection, a resistance rally was brought out from the ministry of foreign affairs to D-Chowlk in Islamabad in the leadership of Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi while the Minister of Kashmir affairs including other ministers also attended the rally. The rally observed one minute silence in solidarity with the Kashmiris

When the rally reached the prime minister secretariat, President Dr Arif Alvi, Chairman Senate Saddiq Sanjrani, Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser, Senator Faisal Javed and members of parliament also joined the rally.

Prsident Alvi led the rally from the prime minister secretariat to D-Chowlk while members of civil society, media and a large number of masses also attended the rally.

The protestors were carrying playcards in favour of the oppressed Kashmiris and against Indian atrocities on which United Nations and international organizations of human rights were demanded to lift the curfew from the Occupied Kashmir and taking notice of gross violations of human rights.

The rally concluded at D-Chowlk after speech of President Dr Arif Alvi.

President Dr. Arif Alvi urged the international community to pressurize India to allow the media enter Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K) to report facts from there.

The President demanded that the changes made in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir in violation of the UN resolutions and the Geneva Convention should be reversed.

He called upon the United Nations to fulfill its promises about resolution of the long-standing Kashmir dispute.

Dr Arif Alvi reaffirmed that the entire Pakistani nation is united on the Kashmir issue and it will continue its efforts for Kashmir cause. He said Kashmiris should not consider themselves alone as Pakistan will continue its peaceful efforts for realization of their right to right to self-determination.

The President said innocent Kashmiri people are being subjected to worst human rights violations by 900,000 Indian troops. He said Indian forces are using pellet guns against the Kashmiri youth. He called upon the world community to take notice of the atrocities being committed against the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The President said Pakistan always gave a message of peace, but India did not reciprocate to it.
