Younis Khan recovers from dengue; available for WI test series

KARACHI: Former captain of Pakistan cricket team test cricketer Younis Khan has started training following recovery from dengue fever.

As per reports, Younus, who is the most successful batsman of Pakistan test cricket’s history, will be available for test series against West Indies. However, he will not participate in the first round of Qauid-e-Azam Trophy.

It is to be mentioned here that Younis Khan was hospitalised last week after suffering from high-grade fever. He remained in the hospital for treatment for a couple of days and subsequently discharged after recovery.

After recovery from the fever, Younus has been allowed by his doctors to resume training.

The first test against West Indies starting from October 13 at Dubai will be day-night.  Pakistan Cricket Board in bid to provide match practice to the players of national team has scheduled the seven matches of Quaid-e-Azam trophy under floodlight which will be played with pink ball.

In first round, Karachi Blue vs UBL match will be played under floodlights. Yonis and Shah Masood are representing UBL in the tournament. However, Younis will miss the match.
