Islamabad (May 25, 2017): Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf is hopeful to commence Ramazan and Eid-ul-Fitr on same day across the country.
He said that the federal government contacted Qasim Ali mosque’s prayer leader Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai to bring religious harmony among the masses and to end moon-sighting row.
While addressing a book launching ceremony in Islamabad, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf said that efforts were underway to commence Ramazan and Eid-ul-Fitr on same day across the country. He said all the issues will be settled, if entire Muslim Ummah unite.
Whereas a meeting of the Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee is summoned on May 26 in Islamabad. Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman will chair the meeting.
