KARACHI: Veteran actress Zaheen Tahira was laid to rest in the graveyard of Karachi’s area of Paposh Nagar, after performing funeral prayers.
Her funeral prayers were attended by a large number of the people belonging to various walks of life.
Zaheen Tahira was previously admitted to a private hospital in the metropolis after suffering a major cardiac arrest.
The 70-year-old Khuda Ki Basti actress was put on the ventilator after the heart attack.
She commenced her career in the 1960s and dominated television screens TV screens till the 1980s portraying strong characters mainly from PTV Karachi centre.
Over the course of her journey, she had appeared in over 700 drama serials in lead and supporting roles.
Tahira had also produced and directed a few television series.
