LAHORE: A Lahore High Court (LHC) bench hearing a petition against bail of accused in Zain murder case has ordered police to present the accused Mustafa Kanjo in the court after his arrest.
The LHC bench on Wednesday heard the petition against the release of main accused Mustafa Kanju in Zain Murder case.
During the hearing, the court asked the CCPO Lahore “where is the main accused of the case” on which the prosecutor told the court that he has gone to London.
The LHC bench expressed anger over the prosecutor statement and ordered the CCPO Lahore to present Mustafa Kanju and if the accused didn’t appear in the court on the next hearing his red warrant will be issued.
It is pertinent to mention here that former federal minister late Siddique Kanju son; Mustafa Kanju had killed a student named Zain in front of people back in 2015.
The incident had occurred near Cavalry ground in Lahore and the accused had run away from the spot later handed himself to police and he confessed the killing in police interrogation.
Meanwhile, a trial court has released the accused after compromise made with the deceased family while the Supreme Court (SC) has taken a suo moto notice over the issue.
