Rawalpindi (September 27, 2017): Lahore High Court on Wednesday allowed former President Asif Ali Zardari to become a party in a petition filed by two police officers convicted in Benazir murder case for bail.
LHC Rawalpindi bench heard the bail application of police officers former CCPO Rawalpindi Sauood Aziz and SSP Khurram Shehzad, who have been sentenced to 17 years in prisons by an anti-terrorism court.

Latif Khosa appeared before the court on behalf of Asif Ali Zardari and filed an application pleading the court to allow them to become party in the case.
The court allowed Khosa’s plea. On next date of hearing, Khosa will advance arguments on the bail application filed by the two former police officers.
It is to be mentioned here Zardari had filed appeal in LHC against the ATC verdict acquitting the five alleged Taliban members accused of being involved in Benazir murder.
