Islamabad (March 08, 2018): Former President and Co Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party Asif Ali Zardari met with Chief Minister Balochistan Abdul Qadoos Bizinjo in Islamabad and discussed the names of Chairman and Deputy Chairman Senate.
While talking to media, Asif Ali Zardari said that negotiations to finalize the name of joint candidates are underway. Zardari said that he has special relations with Balochs.
Replying a question about PPP leader and former Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani he said that he ignored the PML N’s activities in the senate.
Responding to a question over alliance with PTI, Zardari said, “Politics always get weird test, however politics just started wait and look what happen in future.”
Replying question over former senate chairman Raza Rabbani, Zardari said that he did not want to discuss his faults, however he had given lot of constitutional leniency to PML-N in last three years and N-league had used it to fulfill its interests.
“That’s why Nawaz Sharif talking about his nomination for the chairman Senate,” he said.
Answering another query, decision regarding chairman Senate will taken with consultation as the final announcement will be made by the Bilawal Bhutto.
Earlier CM Balochistan met Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf Chief Imran Khan in capital. In a joint press conference, PTI Chief announced to hand over all his party seats in senate to chief minister Baluchistan Abdul Qadoos Bizinjo to Decide.
“We are giving our 13 senate seats to CM Baluchistan aimed to elect chairman Senate from Baluchistan, PTI chairman said while talking to media in Islamabad.
He said that people of Baluchistan has been deprived from their basic rights, which has created sense of inferiority among the people of the province.
Adding to Imran, Bizenjo also expressed hope that the chairman of the Senate will be from Balochistan.
Imran added that the chief minister in the province was changed in-house through the democratic process.
Earlier on Wednesday, sources claimed that Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf has assured Pakistan People’s Party to support its candidate for Chairman and Deputy Chairman Senate slots.
Sources told Abb Takk that both the parties have agreed on a formula and PTI has assured PPP to support its candidates.

Sources further told that PTI is not interested to field its candidate for any slot. It only wanted to create hurdle for PML N candidate to get success.
Senator Mandviwalla is being tipped as PPP’s candidate for the post.
Meanwhile, the Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI-F) has refused to support Pakistan People’s Party’s candidate for chairman senate slot other than Raza Rabbani.
According to sources, JUI-F has sent the categorical message to PPP chairman Asif Ali Zardari that party will not support PPP candidate for chairman Senate other than Raza Rabbani.
“JUI-F is allied ruling party and not intend to part away from Nawaz Sharif as we enjoy two federal minister slots,” sources told.

On the other hand, PPP has given task to Khursheed Shah to get maximum support for its chairman Senate candidate.
Earlier on Wednesday, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz and its allied parties decided in an important huddle to support Senator Raza Rabbani, if PPP decides to nominate him.
Meeting also decided that if PPP nominates other than Mian Raza Rabbani for the top slot in upper house than PML N and its allies will contest the election with full force.

However Pakistan People’s Party Co Chairman Asif Ali Zardari categorically rejected the PML N and allied parties offer to nominate Mian Raza Rabbani name as Chairman Senate again.
Talking to media outside Moulana Fazal Rehman Residence in Minister’s Enclave, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman said he doesn’t want party leader Raza Rabbani to become Senate chairman while responding to a question regarding the offer made by Nawaz Sharif to back Rabbani for the position.
Zardari responded: “Thank you very much, I do not want that.”
The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is divided over the party’s nominee for the post of Senate chairman.
According to reports, several party stalwarts have expressed their reservations over not naming Raza Rabbani as the nominee. There has also been resistance to naming Saleem Mandviwalla as the party’s nominee for the post.
Sources add that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) and Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) have also backed Rabbani for the Senate chairman post.
PPP co-chairman wish to get Saleem Mandviwalla elected as chairman of the upper house.
Meanwhile, the PML-N has claimed that the party has a majority in the Senate to appoint the chairman and deputy chairman. The party has, however, not announced any nominees for the post.
PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif appearing before the accountability court reiterated that he personally wanted Rabbani as the next Senate chairman.
